THE GATLIN cup

DATE: November 19 - 21, 2021

LOCATION: Florida Tennis Center (FTC)
1 Deuce Court, Daytona Beach, Florida 32124

FORMAT:

  • Team Doubles Competition in three divisions, 65 and over, 70 and over, 75 and over.

  • Six teams in the 65 and 70s, four teams in the 75s. Round robin play in each division.

  • Each match consists of three lines of doubles with each line counting one point. The winning team will have the most total points. In case of a tie, the head-to-head result will determine the winner.

SCORING:

  • Regular scoring will be used for all matches with a match tie break for a third set in the 65 and 70 divisions.

  • A full three sets will be played in the 75s. All tiebreaks use the Coman Tiebreak Procedure.

SCHEDULE:

  • Friday and Saturday play starts at 10:30am for 65s and 70s with introductions. Afternoon matches for 65s and 70s start at 2:30pm.

  • Play starts at 12:30pm for 75s.

CLUB INFO:

  • The FTC  has 24 hydro courts along with a full-service pro shop, locker rooms and showers.

  • FTC hosts many sectional USTA events and has great experience running these events for teams and players.

  • There are lights on 20 of the courts if night play is required.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • Lunch is served Friday and Saturday for players and friends at FTC between 12:30 and 2:30. Sports drinks and snacks are provided daily.

  • Substitutions for injuries or loss of conditioning is allowed if the sub is a roster player who is not entered in that round of matches.
